Alex Arsenault
Lawyer | Vancouver Office
Alex comes to Hall & Larocque with a legal practice dedicated to supporting Indigenous governments, organizations, and communities throughout Canada. His areas of focus include First Nation governance, Aboriginal title and rights, consultation, oral history, UNDRIP implementation, band membership, Indian status, and regulatory matters, among others.
Alex is passionate about advancing reconciliation through Indigenous self-determination. He began his career in complex, multi-year Aboriginal title and rights litigation, an experience that gave him deep insight into the legal and practical issues faced by Indigenous peoples in asserting and defending their inherent rights. He now draws on these insights to help clients develop and implement governance solutions that are innovative, responsive, and culturally grounded.
Alex's approach is rooted in collaboration. He believes the best solutions come from community knowledge, and he places meaningful engagement at the centre of his practice.
